Website and referral terms

These terms explain the limited role of The Local Lookout LLC as the operator of this independent guide.

Information and referral role

This website publishes general educational information and may review a non-urgent request for an intended future connection with one independent provider. It does not perform, price, schedule, inspect, diagnose, supervise, or warrant dryer vent cleaning, appliance repair, duct alteration, or any other service.

No provider is currently assigned, this site is not scheduling work, and the form and voicemail are not monitored for emergencies. A request is not shared with an unnamed future contractor; The Local Lookout LLC will first identify a provider and obtain permission.

No service contract with this website

Any inspection, estimate, scheduling, contract, payment, work, or warranty is between the homeowner and the selected provider. The provider is responsible for its qualifications, insurance, permits when applicable, recommendations, employees, and workmanship. A referral is not an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of the provider, any service, or any outcome.

No guaranteed match, price, or outcome

Submitting a request does not guarantee provider availability, provider matching, response time, price, appointment, diagnosis, completed work, or a particular result. A request may be stored before any provider is assigned. Published prices are dated reference information and are not quotes from this website.

Licensing and permit verification

The website does not determine whether a proposed scope requires a Michigan license, classification, permit, or inspection. Before authorizing regulated work, verify the provider's active license and applicable classification and confirm permit requirements with the authority responsible for the property. A referral does not replace that verification.

Safety and emergencies

Website content is not a substitute for manufacturer instructions, an on-site assessment, diagnosis, code determination, or emergency services, and it cannot establish that a particular vent is safe. If smoke, fire, sparking, or another immediate hazard is present, leave the area and call 911 from a safe place. Do not approach the dryer or controls if doing so would be unsafe.

Acceptable use

Do not submit false information, impersonate another person, attack the website, interfere with lead delivery, or use the forms for sales solicitations, spam, or unlawful activity.

Changes

These terms may be updated as phone routing, form delivery, providers, and service coverage are activated. The published number uses CallRail to process call metadata and route callers to voicemail. Inbound-call recording and voicemail transcription are currently off, but voicemail messages deliberately left after the greeting are recorded and stored for review. The updated date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
